This came from Robyn in Texas:

I thought you might want to know how are baby is doing. She is doing really well. Although it took a couple of days for her to warm up to me, she now gets excited when I come in the room and she is so sweet. I hate that I have to keep her separated from Charlie because she wants to be in there with him so badly. He sits on the other side of the window to her room and sings and talks to her.

I have to borrow a camera, so hopefully I will get some pictures this weekend to send to you. Anyway, thanks so much for such a sweet little girl. Oh yeah, we named her Lucy. She said she likes that name.

From Diane in Virginia:

Just a HUGE thank you for help with Millie. I am not kidding you when I say she is a WHOLE NEW BIRD!! She totally stopped gnawing on my hands, steps up on command, and sits with me and is TOTALLY LOVING for hours!! I seriously can not believe the difference!! Like you Tammy, I am TOTALLY sold on the Macaws now!! Thanks so much!

Daniel gave us this update:

My mom loves daisy, her Valentines Day present. Her and Drizzle are getting along great. Thanks!!

Mary filled us in on the news:

We have fallen head over feathers for the little guy. He's been adjusting well since he came home last week. The first day he spent pretty much in his birdy bed and seemed a little awkward when he moved around the cage. Now he's taken over our house and hearts and can move through the cage like gold medal gymnast.

Today he said, "Good morning" and on Thursday he mimicked the whistle I use to call our Old English Sheepdog into the house. It was so funny to watch the dog go over to the cage and just lay down in front of it. He seemed somewhat confused and bewildered by it.

For a little bird, he's got alot of smarts. Alex and I were watching him eat peanuts the other day while he was sitting on top of his Taj Mahal (as one of our friends calls it). Suddenly he picked up an almond to try to break into it and when this became too much trouble he spit it back into the bowl and went right back for the much easier to eat peanuts. He knows how to problem-solve better than some people.

Everyday seems to bring something new. So far, so great and we just wanted to let you know.

We received this report from Jill:

These are pictures of Holly Bird and our other tiel Clyde. Holly finally started coming out of her shell about 2 weeks ago and holds her own in the house now. Her and Clyde each have their own cages (with connecting rope perches to go back and forth) and spend the days together but nights in separate cages. (Clyde was waking Holly up with his singing and she wasn't too fond of it). Clyde makes sure to tell Holly she is a "pretty bird" about 100 times a day and I think she loves it. She is very playful and loves to take a shower. She's pretty quiet until she can't see Clyde and then she calls for him. Thanks again for all your help and for raising such a wonderful part of our family!

Emily sent us this email:

i just wanted to send a short note to let you know how the cockatiel (Samantha named her Artimesa) is doing. She is a great member of our family already! She calls out when she hears someone walk by the room and not go into play with her!

From Tory:

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. They came in my life when I needed something and they bring me such joy and happiness.

Naomi wrote us with this update:

Wallee is doing great-what a love-we can't get over what a fantastic job you have done-we are having a ball with him and are already head over heels in love with him

Sometimes it's the little things that people notice, like this from Nancy:

I wanted to drop you a short note to tell you how much I appreciate the way you package my receipt with the candy, business card, and magnet. It always makes me smile. Nice touch.

It's nice to know people without birds find our site interesting. This from Marsha:

For several months I have been reading about lineolated parakeets, and probably will be ready to welcome one into my home sometime in November or December. I live about two hours away, so I'm not sure about whether I will
be able to visit your store. (I certainly would like to do so!) Thank you for such a helpful educational website.

Porsche sent us this:

Gigi is doing great! Here are some photos of her and Buddy.

Heidi wrote us:

I wanted to write to you and thank you. I have been truly blown away by you and your wife. Quinoa, as we have named her, is an amazing little girl. She is so spunky and cuddly. I just adore her to pieces. I have never gotten a bird from a breeder and I have to say its one of the best things I've done. But not only that, I got her from a breeder who obviously is in it for the love of the birds and not for the money. It is obvious this little girl was raised with tons of love and affection. She begs for attention and she loves to be held. She has only been here 2 days and is already settled in and totally attached to me. She steps up so nicely and even gives kisses.

All of the birds were obviously cared for and given individual attention. Everything was clean. And that is just spectacular. I even got to see the baby tiels get their hand feedings, one by one. Wow, does your wife put a lot of work into them! Please let her know how awesome of a job she is doing. If we ever decide to get another bird, we will definitely be getting them from you. I just wanted to thank you for such a lovely baby girl!

Eileen passed this along:

The Parrotlet, Elmo, arrived safely. He was a big hit at the airport. He has settled in to his new cage, hopping around and playing with his toys. He spends a lot of time on his swing. He is eating, but I haven't caught him drinking any water. yet. When I walk by his cage, he chirps at me. He's absolutely adorable.

Thank you so much. I have to admit I was a bit hesitant to order a bird online, but I am very pleased with how you handled the order. If Elmo is an indication of how well you treat and care for your babies, you get an A+ in that area.
