Jill surprised us with this photo (we didn't think you could get
this many birds in one birdy bed!): Hi Tammy, I have about 5
of your sleep tubes so far and just ordered 2 for the lovebird
chicks I have until they go to their new homes. The have 2 in the
cage back to back so they can all get in and still be
close.......they prefer to all 5 get in the same tube.

This from Ellen: We just wanted to share some photos of
Swoozie! We love her! She is the best post work out shower buddy
ever and such a cuddle bug.
We had no idea she would be so affectionate with wanting hugs and
kisses. She even helps us put Olivia to sleep at night and MUST be a
part of bath time in the evenings with her. She is also a laundry
freak. Under no circumstances are you to go to the washer and dryer
without her and fold it as well. That just does not happen in her
world.
Her personality grows everyday and she is even starting to
whistle and chirp a bit (kinda like a budgie). But she has her own
games and already knows 'kisses' command 'step up', 'step down', and
'no biting'.
Thank you again for such a sweet bird! We cannot wait to see you
soon for a nail trim and some goodies!

From Chiara in Florida: Just wanted to give you a little
update on Gizmo!
He's doing great! Everybody loves him, and he loves everybody!
And he's so funny - not a day goes by that he doesn't make us laugh.
His favorite color is red; he eats just about everything (his
favorite food turned out to be lasagna - after the first time he had
lasagna we had to snatch him from the table because he wanted to
throw himself on the plate!). It also turned out that the simplest
things apparently make the best toys!! Rolls of toilet paper, empty
chap sticks, pens...
People cannot believe when I tell them that my Gizmo is like a
little puppy dog! He'll hop, skip, and jump after me, following me
around the house all day! He's a true joy.
Thank you so much for such a great companion.
Now I have been thinking about getting him a little friend. I'll
be graduating from college soon, and eventually moving out on my
own, so I'd hate for him to be alone all day while I'm working. But
I had a few questions about that, and hope that you can answer them
for me.
Do caiques get along well? I heard some horror stories of birds
hating each other and having to be in separate cages. And what is
the best gender? I don't really want to breed them lol. So I was
thinking another male caique is the way to go - but some people I've
talked to told me that 2 males won't get along as well. What do you
recommend? Also, would it matter (to Gizmo lol) if the second caique
is white bellied instead of black headed?
Thanks for your help! And thank you again for bringing such a joy
into our lives!

Mackenzie writes from Canada: Hi ! Sorry this has taken so
long, But as promised, here's some pictures of Rocco! I only sent a
few, but I have hundreds already and hours of video! He is doing
great! Won my husbands heart right away too! He has become a
definite part of the family! Training is going well, but for some
reason I think Rocco is training us instead ! He enjoys having
supper time with us in the kitchen every night,,, usually end up
stealing one of the utensils off my plate, or like on Sunday I
looked over and he had stole a spring roll from my plate! Rocco has
Keith wrapped around his little finger too! Funny how that works
out! Rocco seems to be bonding well with him now too! But he's still
'mommy's boy' When I get home he wants a kiss and a good head rub!
His vocabulary is getting unbelievable, picks up words after hearing
them only a few times too! I think we're looking at almost the 3
dozen word mark ( I seem to loose count) So talking on the phone
near him is now impossible, because he answers everything for you,
or takes the phone and tosses it on the floor! He's very curious and
house exploration seems to be much fun for him! Bath time is always
fun too! We've done a few of those now too! One big show!! Takes 2
hours to sprits him down and dry him off! And for some off reason he
loves the hair dryer! Never heard of that before! But it works for
us! He doesn't mind the vacuum either... even if I'm inside his cage
with it sucking up feathers! He comes down for a closer look every
time! Life has definitely changed in our house this past month, I
couldn't have even imagined how fulfilling of an experience this has
been for us so far! I can now agree with most, in that having a
parrot is comparable to a 3 year old child! I think we'll stick to
the birds, Rocco doesn't seem to talk back as much as our friends
kids! Thanks again for making this all happen! It has been worth
every minute and permit , of it for me!

Megan sends us this report: Just wanted to let you know that Fiona
is doing great! She loves playing with her toys, and as you can
see- especially this swing! She also enjoys cuddling right up under
my chin while I rub her neck (and makes the cutest little baby
noises while I do this). She is truly spoiled. Thank you for
everything!

Roxanne wrote: I wanted to let you know that Jewels is
doing great! Raisins and dried pineapple are her favorites - she is
eating and drinking well. She bites more than I like, but we're
working on that! She quickly learned "up" and kisses and to go poo
over the toilet when she first comes out of the cage. She recognizes
the door being opened and our voices.....and likes to look up at
airplanes when they fly over. She is quite cuddly, but becoming more
independent and mostly only likes cuddling later in the evening now.
She is good about sleeping in her bed and loves to take a shower.
She is a sweet bird and we love her dearly. I'm so happy to have
her. |
Matt updates: Thank you so much for the great care I know you'll
be giving Ares, just as you do for all your birds.

From Katja & Ryan: We stopped by your aviary today and I
wanted to make sure to thank you for this wonderful afternoon and
answering all our questions thoroughly and patiently and spending so
much time with us today, I greatly appreciate it!! We'll be back
soon and are looking forward to reading the books we purchased
today. It's wonderful to see pets and especially birds in such
loving and caring hands. Your website is definitely a huge piece of
work with so many web pages...(suppose only travel agencies have
more pages) and you are spoiling your customers. We look forward to
coming back! |
This came from Susan & Steve: We
love her! Thanks for bringing her up so well!
