Catherine read about us in Parrot Magazine:

I just wanted you to know that I thoroughly enjoyed your article in the August 2009 issue of Parrots magazine. I look forward to reading about part II of your flock. You have a wonderful loving and smart, not to mention cute, flock of parrots. I especially liked the story about Jimmy going upstairs to get a drink of water from Tammy. This was great!! Also, it is wonderful that your 10 year old son, DJ is so involved with the flock.

Dan sent some thoughtful comments:

You were right. I didn't believe you how much I'd like the bird. He snuggles in during family movie night and I let it eat my bagel in the morning then finish the bite.

This update came from Kathe:

We wanted to say thank you for our wonderful best buddy Lobo. We brought him home about a year ago and he has been our pride and joy since. He came into a household of three very old cats who challenged my training abilities to say the least. It can be done with rewarding success and lots of love, praise, and patience. This picture is amazing proof of that!

Lobo and Cosmo instantly bonded as the oddest of couples. Every morning that cat would wait for Lobo to happily hop onto his back, as you can see from the photo. I'm so glad I snapped this photo. Cosmo suffered a series of strokes three days later and we lost him at the ripe old age of 17. We since adopted a 16 year old Himalayan from the shelter. She was given up by her owner because "she was too old"! I wish people were more compassionate.

We look forward to getting another bird from you real soon. Lobo misses his buddy and could use companionship of the feathered kind. All the love you guys pour into these birds comes back to their lucky "owners" with amplified love and endless laughs and entertainment! Cat owners... it is possible with constant supervision and praise.

We can't thank you enough for all your "good Karma" parenting. We also included a baby picture of Lobo clowning around. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. Have wonderful holidays if we don't see you before then.

From the start, I was treated kindly and all my many questions were answered. As I requested, I was sent an updated picture every week so I could see my baby grow up, and he was even called by the name I picked for him. After many weeks of excitement leading up to his arrival, he finally was ready to come home. His flight arrived 30 minutes early and he was very curious and not timid at all. We got out to the car and unsealed the cage. He immediately came out when I told him to step up, and he drank some water and cuddled with me the whole ride home. I couldn’t have been any happier. Dave and Tammy are truly wonderful with birds. There could never be a more social or friendly bird that didn’t come from them. I am happy to say that this is the only breeder you should trust when getting a baby bird. Their birds are friendly, well socialized, and make the greatest new additions to any family. I will not hesitate to buy birds from them again! They are the BEST breeder you can buy from! Thanks Dave and Tammy, for my wonderful new bird companion!

Thomas & Family sent in this report:

Lilo has been home now for 3 days and she has been wonderful, feeling right at home. She is still adjusting to he cage at night but sleeps throughout the night without a peep. Lilo enjoys her new tree and already makes a big mess throwing the food around.

Lilo loves being outside and putting on the harness has been real easy. We just completed a nice walk around the block and Lilo enjoyed being outside smelling the fresh air.

Thank you both for such a wonderful bird addition to our family. I am sure we will be back looking to add a companion bird.

This is from Yasmeen:

I wanted to give an update on how Lilah is doing. I thought got the shock of my life when my parents allowed me to get a parrot for my birthday, but it really was when I realized what a fun, happy, and social parrot Lilah is. Lilah fell right into my life and I can't remember how it was without Lilah (and that was only about a month ago!). When I first brought Lilah home, I was excited, but also nervous about her eating and drinking (and Lilah has started to drink from her water bottle). After a few days she had already started to mumble stuff, which was hilarious! She now is pretty close to a perfect "hello" (sometimes it sounds like a howl when she says "hellooooooo"), chuckles, is starting "good girl", and says something which I cannot understand. Lilah is crazy for spaghetti, pecans, and sunflower seeds. She does listen to the radio for most of the day and has developed a love for music. She loves the mirror and will run from the top of her cage, down the hall, into my room, and to the mirror in my closet just to catch a glimpse of herself. I have fallen in love with my new homework buddy, early morning buddy, and fun little bundle of feathers. My friends have been lining up to see her and two of them have already seen Lilah. They adore her and love her a lot. I just want to say thanks for the love of my life <3

I will be sending another email and DEFINITELY visiting the aviary very soon with Lilah. Who knows, Lilah might turn my "not-so-animal-lover" parents into bird enthusiasts! My dad and brother are both talking about maybe getting a sun conure in a year or so!

Thank you so much for my own little puff of feathers, fun, joy, and happiness!

Stephanie in Georgia sent us this note:

I thought you guys might like this. She loves spending our snuggle time like a little baby :) She is talking up a storm and is a mommies girl (she'll even tell you she is). She is the most loving bird I have ever seen and has so much personality.
