Pionus parrots are on the quiet side of medium-sized parrots. They'll
learn a few words though and make long lasting (and loving) companions.
They are on the mellow side of the scale regarding temperament. The
White-Capped Pionus (Pionus senilis) is
brilliantly colored and measures about 9-11 inches long. Maximilian's
Pionus (Pionus maximiliani) are the best talkers
of the Pionus genus, weighing from 230-275 grams. The Blue-headed
Pionus get their blue heads after the first year. They are good at
learning tricks and very playful. A calm personality and on the quiet
side, they like their entire family (and don't just single out one
person over another). They live about 40 years and are the best talkers
of the Pionus, and weigh in around 230 grams. A
deposit will hold until weaned. Free
