Hawk-Headed Parrots

Hawk-headed parrots (Deroptyus acciptrinus), also known as the
Red-fan Parrot and the Hawk-headed Caique, come from South America. When
agitated or excited they throw their nape feathers up and display an
incredible head of blue and red feathers. They are about 13 inches in
length and about 250 grams when grown. They have a life
expectancy of about 35-40 years. A
deposit will hold until weaned. Free
